I often suggest to my clients that if they are getting married in Lancaster Registry Office that we go for a walk around the Williamson Park, AND even on a wet day you end up with great images, no matter what the season.
Williamson Park and the exterior of the Ashton Memorial are free to use. However, if you do want to hold your wedding inside there is a cost, but all the ground and outside is for use by the public.

Eaves Hall stands proudly at the heart of the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. A magnificent Georgian mansion, the gardens and grounds are beyond compare, superb in summer sunshine, sublime in winter snow. The interiors are just as enchanting, the layout is incredibly flexible.

With ivy clad walls standing for nearly 400 years and a crackling fireplace welcoming guests since 1933, Stirk House offers contemporary luxury in truly historic surroundings. It has a fantastic ballroom with a superb window light often used for the wedding breakfast.

Fully restored from top to bottom and side to side, it’s glamorous and stylish with lots of contemporary twists. Plus there are photograph opportunities galore, with two bars, a snug, magnificent stairwell and a wonderful light-filled function room overlooking stunning terrace and gardens to the even more stunning Yorkshire Dales beyond.

With its quintessential country house character, The Devonshire Arms is a perfect location for your wedding. The beauty of this venue is that it has the river Wharfe and Bolton Abbey close by which gives us all sorts of opportunities for exciting photos.

Mytton Fold Hotel is on the outskirts of Whalley at the heart of the Ribble Valley, and is a past winner of Lancashire’s Small Hotel of the Year. It also incorporates an 18 hole golf course and has wonderfully photogenic grounds.

Set within a 250 acre nature reserve and featuring a unique floating venue, Brockholes offers a memorable setting for your wedding. The beautiful nature reserve provides a stunning back-drop for your photographs and presents a romantic scene as the sun sets over the lake. Floor to ceiling windows provide panoramic views across the lake, whilst the picturesque outdoor area offers guests an impressive location. The modern buildings, lake and meadows give us huge scope for a variety of photos.

The Devonshire Fell is just a few miles outside of the Bolton Abbey Estate, nestled in the picturesque village of Burnsall. Distinct from other Yorkshire Dales hotels, however, this boutique hotel is styled to offer city chic in the countryside. An impressive Edwardian building on the outside, its interior is vibrant and contemporary, designed to make guests feel instantly at home from the moment your day starts to the time the last guest departs.

According to it's web site The Low Wood Bay has one of the most enviable lake-shore settings for a wedding celebration in the Lake District, from the civil ceremony to the grandest reception venue. Well I'm not sure about the lake shore claim as most of the shore is a marina, but it does have a wonderful jetty where we can get some fun photos. For me though , the jewel in the crown for the Low Wood Bay is the interior. It is packed with places to take interesting photos.
