Steam Train Photography. The secret of photographing steam trains is to plan. Look at a map. Decide where you are going to stand, try to visualise your shot. Which lens are you going to use? Are you going for a train in a landscape shot or are you going in close? Where will the sun be at the time you think that the train will pass? Is your plan flexible if circumstances aren’t as you anticipate?
Musicians & Bands. I love to photograph live music and especially tribute bands. The beauty of photographing tribute bands is that, in general, you don’t have squash into the mosh pit and do everything in the time it takes to play the first three songs.
