Another competion win

And the winner of the Forest of Bowland photographic competition (Professional category) is......Step forward Jon Brook of Bentham Imaging. The theme was 'Beautiful Bowland'

The town of Bentham is right on the northern edge of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known as the Forest of Bowland , we don't have a pretty market place or a nice waterfall, but our proudest possesion is a BIG STONE

This photo(and 12 others from Bentham Imaging) is on the Bentham Town Council's 2012 Calendar, which is available at all good photography shops in Bentham and Bentham Post Office, priced at just £7.50. All proceeds are going to the Bentham Christmas Lights fund

 

A winner of the BBPA 'Pub Life' photo competition

Jons wins the 'Pub Life' category of the British Beer and Pub Association 'Pub Life' competition 2011.

This was displayed in the Old Truman Brewery exhibition centre in Brick Lane London in May 2011.

 

Another Gold award

Jon has won a 3rd Gold Award in the Society of Wedding & Portrait photographers monthly competition for February 2011. The winning photo was in the Environmental Portrait category. Of the 3500 entries from photographers all around the world only 61 made the Gold standard.
 

Landscape Photographer of the Year 2010

Jon Brook, principle photographer of Bentham Imaging won the Living the View category of the Take-a-View Landscape Photographer of The Year 2010 competition sponsored by The Sunday Times, Natural England and Network Rail.

It shows the Gamekeeper of the Fourstones estate on the burning off the old heather in order to promote growth of the new shoots to feed the wild grouse.

It was also chosen as one of the 25 best environmental photos from around the world by MSN, check out the link
